This well known Italian firearm manufacturer produced several competition pistols for various competition disciplines. This pistol is one of the earlier models and Bernadelli used their production .22 pistol to develop the competition model, like Unique has done with the DES 69 and Beretta with the mod 78. This pistol was designed for Olympic rapid fire competitions. It is a single action pistol. It has a long barrel which lengthens the sight radius. A counter weight with a bridge over the slide was fitted on the longer barrel. On the bridge excellent competition sights were fitted. Both sights are now are located on the barrel only, for better accuracy. This principal was copied by Beretta on their mod 78. The trigger can be set for weight and length of pull. (Ref.
