North American Arms, Provo, Utah, USA. North American Arms has its roots dating back to the middle 1970's where it began with the development and manufacture of firearms that were originally designed for the Rocky Mountain Arms company. Then in the early 1980s, the NAA company became a subsidiary of an aerospace manufacturing company called Talley Manufacturing. In the late 1980's, Talley Manufacturing was acquired by a Philadelphia based firm called Teleflex Inc. Shortly after Teleflex Inc. had acquired Talley Manufacturing, the Teleflex firm decided to sell the small firearm portion of their business in part due to liability issues. In November of 1991, Sandy Chisholm purchased the firearm manufacturing business from Teleflex and kept the company in Provo, Utah. The NAA company has remained there ever since, and over a decade and a half later, both the exact management team and work force are still in place. A testament of a good company with qualified and competent personal that manufacturers dependable and quality products. The North American Arms company is a niche oriented business. Their entire reason for being is centered around personal protection. As of this writing, they do not manufacture any MOA target and hunting firearms, but they do manufacture small, lightweight, and concealable firearms that are reliable and effective, which means that you are more likely to carry one when you need protection most rather then that bulky .45 caliber weapon that you left at home because you "will only be gone a minute". The mini-revolvers produced by the company are single action revolvers, which have a spur trigger design and are very reminiscent of late 19th century pocket revolvers, the major difference being the size and the fact the mini-revolvers are made completely of stainless steel Mini-Revolvers are made in the following calibers: • .22 Short • .22 Long Rifle • .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire • .17 HM2 • .17 HMR • .22 Black powder Deringer pistols, Colt cloverleaf and Liberty revolvers were manufactured in America during the eighteenth century. They were exceptionally small pocket pistols in various forms. .In a previous era they could be considered as gentleman’s jewellery and were very popular. The North American Arms mini revolvers are still manufactured in America, in the same fashion These single action pocket revolvers have a very good reputation for reliability, although they are manufactured exceptionally small. They have good design mechanisms with a rebounding hamer and are made of good materials. These revolvers are too small to hold firmly when cocking the hammer or shooting it. A folding butt is available to correct this. North American Arms manufacture top quality firearms.
